Professional Limo & Car Service in Amherst, MA
Car service for UMass Amherst, Amherst College and Hampshire College families
Most of our Amherst trips start with a family. A student flies home for break, parents land at Bradley for a campus visit, or a move in needs space for everything that goes into a dorm room. Blue Nile Livery plans each ride ahead with a licensed, background checked chauffeur and sends you every detail before the day.
What Do Amherst Families Usually Book?
The college calendar decides most of our Amherst bookings. These are the trips we drive most often and the vehicle families usually pick for each one.
| Trip | Vehicle families usually choose | When to book |
|---|---|---|
| Move in or move out with luggage and boxes | Chevrolet Suburban or Cadillac Escalade, up to 6 passengers and 6 bags | A few weeks ahead for late August |
| Parents flying in for a campus visit | Cadillac XTS or XT6, up to 3 passengers | At least 24 hours ahead |
| Commencement with grandparents and siblings | Ford Transit for up to 10, or two SUVs | A few weeks ahead for May |
| Student flying home for break | Cadillac XTS or XT6 | At least 24 hours ahead, earlier before Thanksgiving |
| Team, club or department trip | Mercedes Sprinter for 14, minibus for 32 or 40, motor coach for 55 | At least a week ahead |
Faculty, visiting speakers and local families book with us too, for meetings in Springfield and Hartford, proms, weddings and nights out.

Which Vehicle Carries a Dorm Move In?
A move in usually means two parents, one student and more bags than a sedan can hold, so most families book the Chevrolet Suburban or Cadillac Escalade, which seat six with room for six large bags. For one to three travelers, the Cadillac XTS or XT6 and the Mercedes S Class are the quieter choice for an airport run. Bigger families can ride together in the Ford Transit for up to ten, and the Mercedes Sprinter carries fourteen.
How Long Is the Drive to Bradley and Logan?
Bradley International in Windsor Locks is about 45 miles south of Amherst, usually around an hour by car, and it is the airport most of our Amherst clients use. Boston Logan is about 90 miles east and roughly two hours, with extra time needed on Friday afternoons and before holidays. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and adjusts the pickup if it lands early or late. Terminal and meet and greet details are on our Logan Airport car service page.

Can You Take a Team or Club to an Away Game?
Yes. Teams, clubs and departments book the Mercedes Sprinter for up to 14, a minibus for 32 or 40, or a motor coach for 55. Buses are reserved for at least six hours, and group vehicles need seven days notice to cancel, so it helps to book as soon as the schedule is set. Send us the group size, the venue and the return time and we will match the vehicle. To book, call (877) 307-2322 or request a quote online.
Which Towns Around Amherst Do You Cover?
We pick up anywhere in Amherst, including North Amherst and all three campuses, and in nearby towns such as Hadley, Northampton, South Hadley, Easthampton and Holyoke. Travelers arriving by train can be met at the Northampton Amtrak station, and longer trips to Boston, Hartford, Albany and New York City run door to door with the same chauffeur.
